Last Week

Hello all;
So this is it! We made it, and are counting down the last week of this term. I feel very confident in my final paper! This class has been extremely helpful in so many ways. We have learned new techniques for writing and revising a research paper. I know the paramedic method of revision was the one that stuck out the most for me, as it was a fun way to revise your paper. The part that was the most challenging for me though was keeping my opinion out of this paper. I could write forever if I was able to state my own opinions, and having to use ONLY actual researched facts about our topics was a little difficult and took a lot of time. However, I did it! I read and reread, and even had my fiance read it too:). I really enjoyed this course, and wish everyone the best of luck with everything. Hope to see some of you in future courses!:)

Comp II

Hello all;
I just had to come on and say a few things about Comp II. I think both Comp I and II are so very beneficial to us. I was not a good writer at all! Now I have some confidence in my writing, and have learned so much. I am about to submit my final project paper for both of my classes in a few minutes and I am axious about it, but confident. I have used everything I have learned in Comp I and II for my A&P II final project paper as well. I have seen such an improvement in my grades because of what I have learned in this class. We had a great instructor to teach us, and you all were great with the feedback given. Thank you all, and good luck with everything! :)

New Year, New Me!

Hello all;
I just want to say that the start of this year has already been great! I am getting so much more organized now! We are pretty much settled into our new place, starting plans for our wedding(never to early to start the planning lol), we are all getting better from being sick for over a month (because our previous house, the landlord refused to fix the furnace or anything else) and my homework, and projects are really coming together. Our new place is $100 cheaper than the last, and we have amazing plans for our big backyard in the spring:). I am so excited that things are finally calming down and falling into place. I am just an impatient person when I am unorganized, which makes things a little more hectic as only time will show you all the progress you have made:). I hope everyone else is doing well with organizing their projects, and getting them into the writing center. Have a good one everyone! :)

Happy Holidays Part 2

Hello all;
I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays:). I am! We're going to be moving come the 1st though, but things are going pretty good other than that. I am trying my hardest to keep up and not having a discussion post this week has helped tremendously. My paper is on the effects of consuming a large amount of alcohol while pregnant, also known as FAS, fetal alcohol syndrome. I am late turning in my rough draft, I am just trying to find more information to support my ideas on what to write about when it comes to this topic. Trying to catch up when you're already behind in classes is a lot harder than I thought, but I won't give up, and I am determined to get everything done regardless:). Thanks for reading, time to get back to work:).

Happy Holidays!

Hello all;
Things are finally getting better for us!:) We are all feeling a little better, done shopping and will be going to see a house we're hoping to get tomorrow. This week has been pretty hectic, as we have our rough draft due and the holidays are here. We're getting through it all little by little lol. My christmas present was given to me early, and I am officially engaged! My fiance is an amazing person! He has been there for my son since he was 10 months old and treats him like his own. As excited as I am to be getting married, I want to wait until I am done with school. Who wants to add more gas to the fire lol...meaning who wants more stress or more to do when you already have enough:). We are very happy, as two of my five sisters settled for going to Ohio to get married. I on the other hand will wait 5 yrs if it means i get my dream wedding with my big puffy dress and all the traditional things one would have for a great wedding.

Anyhow, I also want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday break!:) Thanks for reading.

When it rains it poors...

Hello all, things are just crazy around here. I am behind in school work and I apologize for not posting this sooner. My sister is having pregnancy complications and I had to help take care of her other two children. Then, my son ended up really sick and was in the hospital with suspected appendicitis (not sure if it's spelled correctly) and he is only two and a half. Thank god though it wasn't anything that serious. Now, I am sick! I cannot walk up and down my stairs my whole body is hurting so bad. So, I am now trying to catch up on my school work, and get better for the holidays. On the flip side though, my school expenses should be here before xmas and we all know that a little extra money around xmas time is such a bonus!! lol. Well, I am going to get back to work on my discussion posts as they are late as well:(, and also my exams for A & P II. Thanks for reading.

Just when you think things can't get any worse....

Hello all, it's another day of venting on here. Well I am going to be without a computer for a few days. However, I am trying to do things early, therefore I am not late on assignments and I will be going to a friends to add my comments to my fellow classmates. So to add to last weeks mess, we have to move now! Our furnace isn't working properly and our landlord refuses to replace the existing unit. He told me on the phone yesterday "You guys can just move so I don't have to pay to fix it". What is that?! I cannot believe he wouldn't fix it to keep his tenants, especially with the economy the way it is. Well needless to say we're looking for a new place. I have to get a laptop with my "expenses" and also my fiance and I have to give my son a christmas along with moving a week after christmas. My mom always said "when it rains, it poors". Boy oh boy is that true or what? Well, I am stressed of course however, I believe that everything happens for a reason. It could be because we wanted to move come spring anyway because of the neighborhood not being what we expected and to have a two year old here isn't very good. So, I am trying to stay positive, and keep up with my school work, along with the children I care for in our home and also keep my "to do list" handy! That "to do list" is a god send lol, it has helped me so much to keep my thoughts and tasks organized! Well, anyway I will post again soon, hope everyone is doing well:). Thanks for reading.
